This ministry follows the 2 Corinthians guidance on giving. 2 Cor. 6-7 "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Several principles can be see in this text, the first being that if we sow/give sparingly then we shall receive sparingly as well. Secondly, if we give bountifully/a large portion then we shall receive bountifully/a large portion. In a nutshell, what we give or don't give is what we will get back in return. The third principle we see is that no one should give if they feel reluctant about it or are under the compulsion to do so. In other words, if you feel forced to give or you really don't feel like it then don't. As stated in the text, God loves cheerful givers. It is God and God alone who gives us the ability to create wealth (Deut. 8:18). Every good and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17). God doesn't NEED us to give to ministries, widows, the sick, or even the poor. In fact, God doesn't need us at all, Acts 17:24-25 "The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything." It should now be evident why "God loves a CHEERFUL GIVER (2 COR. 7)". He gives instructions and watches our actions. Because he loves us he gave us the freewill to make our own choices. When we take that freewill and choose to give bountifully, without compulsion, or reluctance, then God rewards us bountifully in return. Why? Because "God loves a CHEERFUL GIVER (2 COR. 7)". The terms sparingly and bountifully are subjective. What one person considers a lot another may consider small. At this ministry we consider every donation to be bountiful. Because we are a ministry and not a store whatever you choose to give, you give knowing that you won't be handed a physical item in return. You have chosen to help a small ministry dedicated to doing the work of the Lord that is often neglected grow and that means a lot to us. If we see your selflessness then how much more does God? Be blessed cheerful giver!
